Working Trials

With our bloodhound we compete in working trials where we hunt the clean boot. Someone walks a predetermined route then depending on the level after a set time we set off and the aim is that just from a scent item the dog can follow where the person went. It ranges from a 30 minute lead time and over 1 mile for novice up to senior which has a 2 hour lead time and covers 3 miles.
It is amazing watching them do what they were meant for and how you can see it when they switch on when working.
